My Chelsea Line-Up For The Match:
After the Stoke game, I feel Torres is definitely deserving of a starting place, as well as Anelka who did well when he came on. Malouda looked lacklustre but unfortunately we don't have an option there, which hopefully will be sorted out by the end of the transfer window. Ramires was dynamic in midfield and gave the midfield a good bit of width. Mikel performed admirably with the news he had just heard, and he seems determined to keep playing on. We lacked a lot of creativity from midfield against Stoke last game and I feel that we Lampard was probably the worst of the three midfielders so that explains my decision. Bosingwa was good last game, especially with the overlaps that allowed a lot of space to be created in the second half, and was fairly good defensively. Alex was brilliant in the air against a physical Stoke team and I would keep him in the squad. Terry and Cole are no brainers, and Hilario should be definitely chosen over Turnbull, who still looks like a rabbit caught in the headlamps.
Danger Men
Fernando Torres
Against Stoke, Torres looked very dangerous, easily gliding past defenders like his Liverpool days. The main problem was the lack of enigma from the rest of the team meant he had to create his own chances against a strong Stoke defence that would always be unlikely. If the rest of the team gives him chances, he could easily put West Brom to the sword.
Shane Long
With Peter Odemwingie being unfit, he may not be performing up to his high standards from last season. Shane Long is a brilliant Championship player and if he can bring up his performances from their he could definitely be a danger to us. His confidence is high due to a De Gea blunder, and he could be a threat to us if he performs.
Prediction: With West Brom fairly high on confidence after a solid showing in a loss against Manchester United. They are dangerous on the front foot, but a very strong Chelsea defence should be too much for them as they didn't get too many opportunities against a United team, who's defence is probably weaker than ours. Their defence is a definite weakness, and conceded 6 last time at the bridge. I expect more of the same this time around Chelsea win 4-0
